Lawyer Johannes Schneider

He was born on 12 October 1919 in the Erzgebirge, graduated from high school in Königsberg and studied law in Hamburg before being admitted to the Hamburg Bar in 1956. Early on, he was one of the first lawyers in Germany to specialise exclusively in family law. Since 1970 in partnership with lawyer Stein and since 1974 with lawyer Leßmann, deepening the firm's specialisation in family law. 1976 to 1977 on the honour committee of the German Bar Association, active on the board of the Hanseatic Bar Association (17 years). In 1996, he was awarded the Emil von Sauer Prize, the highest honour of the Hamburg judiciary. In 1999, Mr Schneider retired from the day-to-day business of the law firm. After a long and fulfilling life, Johannes Schneider passed away on 6 December 2003.
