About us
Divorce not only disrupts the family unit, but also raises many legal and economic issues. We are qualified lawyers who can fully cover the need for counselling triggered by these issues.
The Hamburg law firm Schneider Stein & Partner has a decades-long tradition of specialising in family and inheritance law. The law firm was founded in 1955 by the lawyer Johannes Schneider. Following the admission of further qualified lawyers, the firm now has a total of 15 lawyers, including 13 specialised lawyers for family law in the legal fields of family law and two specialised lawyers for inheritance law in the legal fields of inheritance law. Our team is strengthened by lawyer Dieter Büte, retired presiding judge at the Higher Regional Court, who supports us with his many years of experience in particularly extensive and difficult cases, and by Dipl. Kfm. Peter Spengler, who contributes his expertise in the preparation of business management reports.
All the lawyers at our firm are convinced that successful representation in the field of family and inheritance law is based on the willingness to guide each client through a dispute with personal commitment. This principle is implemented in the way that the client's individual situation is placed at the centre of our work, without losing sight of the legal provisions. In order to make the broadest possible expertise available to the client, the firm cooperates with external specialists such as auditors, tax advisors and notaries where necessary. The observation and incorporation of current findings, such as mediation, are also part of the client-orientated way of working. This also includes participating in and organising further training events.
Several partners are also involved as co-editors or authors of a comprehensive practical handbook on family law. In addition, our membership and active involvement in the German Family Court Conference, the Family Law Working Group of the German Bar Association, the Inheritance Law Working Group of the German Bar Association and the Society for Inheritance Law ensures that current legal developments are taken into account in day-to-day practice.
